We recommend washing the affected areas in warm water daily with a mild liquid castile soap. On days you don't shave, use a gentle face scrub to help free the trapped hairs. Follow up by rinsing with cold water and patting dry with a clean towel. Be sure to finish up with the Bevel Post-Shave Balm
(use the Balm twice daily).
If the ingrown hairs are painful, you may want to take day off from shaving while they heal, but continue gently exfoliating and using the Bevel Post-Shave Balm. It has shea butter, lactic acid, and salicylic acid to moisturize and help with scarring, tea tree oil (an antiseptic) known to prevent and treat infection, and aloe vera to soothe.
If you've only got a few bumps, you may want to use sterilized tweezers to free (not pluck) any visible trapped hairs more quickly. If you've only got a few bumps, you may want to use sterilized tweezers to free (not pluck) any visible trapped hairs more quickly.
